Our Rooms

The Crown & Punchbowl is a romantic boutique inn with nine delightful double rooms, all of them ensuite. Erasmus is our superior ensuite room. The Goodall room can be arranged either as a twin or as a super king bed. All of our rooms are named after Cambridge University alumni.

We offer superb room rates throughout the week. Breakfast during the week from 7.30am until 9am, and 8.30am until 10am at the weekends. We also offer special rates for two-night getaways; £350 Monday to Thursday and £395 from Friday to Sunday. This includes a two-night stay, breakfast on both mornings and a three-course dinner on one night in the restaurant (excludes drinks.) Please book with us direct to guarantee the best rates.

As soon as we entered for our overnight stay we had a cheerful and friendly welcome. Barbora was extremely helpful carrying our bag up to our room. We were impressed by our room with very strong A/C (which we could control) especially as it was a very hot day. We had little extras in our room such as a Nespresso machine, milk and biscuits. Also available outside our room was a small fridge with cold water and fresh milk in small bottles at no extra cost. The shower was hot and strong and the bath towels were amazingly large, soft and fluffy. Our dinner was very tasty, beautifully presented and our server Lily was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast this morning was again served by a lovely friendly lady and there was a choice of 3 different cooked options as well as cereal, croissants and juices. Our whole stay was a delight and exceeded expectations. We definitely recommend and hope to return.
